BI Reporting Package

The IFS BI Reporting Package provides a built-in framework to integrate IFS Enterprise Explorer with integrated IFS BI Microsoft BI reporting capabilities.

With this framework it is possible to create customer solutions with built-in BI capabilities for operational purposes in IFS Enterprise Explorer.

The IFS BI Reporting Package contains a report viewer that makes it possible to view SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports directly within IFS Enterprise Explorer.

The SSRS reports can be connected and viewed in IFS Enterprise Explorer in three different ways:

1. As Quick Reports of the MS_REPORT Quick Report type.
2. As Dashboards directly accessible from the Business Intelligence / Dashboards folder.
3. From within the Analysis Panel, in IFS Enterprise Explorer, which is showing contextual BI content directly in various forms.

Links to Microsoft SharePoint dashboards can also be created through Quick Reports and categorized into dashboard folders in the IFS Enterprise Explorer navigator.

End-users can start the Microsoft Report Builder tool through IFS Enterprise Explorer and create their own ad-hoc reports, which they then store in the own private storage area on the Microsoft Report Server. These reports can also be viewed within IFS Enterprise Explorer.

With the Analysis Panel it is possible control the content in a panel from the connected IFS Enterprise Explorer overview form. E.g. the content of the Analysis Panel is be updated accordingly, when a new record is selected by the user.
