Configuring Shortcut Panel Layout

The appearance of the shortcut panel in IFS Enterprise Explorer can be configured to suit users preferences. Its layout, text size and weather labels visibility can be configured. These settings are stored in the user’s local computer, i.e. they are not in saved in the users profile. Administrators has the ability to push out a set of initial settings using a base profile.

Setting the Layout in to Base Profile

  1. Log in as an administrator and select a base profile (also see Administrate Profiles - end user documentation).
  2. Change Shortcut panel settings according to the requirement. You can change the number of columns and rows, weather labels should be  visible or not as well as the text size of labels.
  3. Save the base profile.

These settings will be used for any user, who do not have their own settings already saved in the local machine. If they already have their own settings, then those local settings will be given priority. Users still have the ability to change the default settings according to their preferences and once changed it will be given priority over the initial settings set in the base profile.
