Deploy IFS Applications Middle Tier on WebSphere

  1. Start Installing Extended Server on WebSphere
  2. Configure WebSphere Application Server
  3. Start IFS Applications Installer
  4. Create IFS Home
  5. Verify Locations
  6. Select Components to Install

    Note: Select all options. This is mandatory when you create the first instance for this solution.

  7. Manage Application Server Instance

    Use the following settings:

    1. Create new: selected
    2. Instance Name: enter a new name
  8. Select Components to Deploy
  9. Select Application Server Type
    Use the following settings:
    1. Application Server: websphere
  10. Configure Database Connection

    Use the following settings:

    1. Database host: <Machine hosting your database>
    2. Database service name: <Name of DB service>
    3. IFS system user password: <IFSSYS password>
  11. Enter passwords for the internal system users
  12. Import Data into Database

    Note: Select all options. This is mandatory when you create the first instance for this solution.

  13. WebSphere Domain Configuration

    Use the following settings:

    1. Standalone Server: Selected for standalone configuration
    2. Clustered Server: Selected for clusted configuration
  14. Configure user authentication method
  15. Configure Dedicated Session Properties
  16. Web Server Configuration
  17. Document Management AutoVue Server Configuration

    Note: This page will only appear if component Docvue is part of the installation.

  18. Setup IFS Web Client Sites
  19. Start Deploy
