Windows Services

Note: This step is only applicable for Windows. If target is Unix/Linux the IFS Applications Installer will not show this step. The installer will not handle changes to the windows service after a fresh installation.

This page lets you choose what to install as services in Windows. For production environments you typically choose to install all as services. For local development environments you may not want to install any services.

This form is only shown on Windows platform.

Note: You can also install and uninstall the components as services at any time using the install_service_*.cmd and uninstall_service_*.cmd scripts.

Select what to install as Windows services.

Actions

1. Select what you want to install as services in Windows. There are right mouse button options for selecting and clearing all checkboxes.
   You can select if you want to have the service installed with startup mode Automatic or Manual and if you want the service to be
   automatically started when the installation/configuration of the instance is completed.
   
   Installable as services are:

   Name
   JBoss Application Server	This option is only available when JBoss is the application server to use.
   IFS Batch Server	This option is only available when Extended Server is deployed.
   IFS Connect Server	This option is only available when Extended Server is deployed.
