Install IFS COM Access Provider
The COM Access Provider (COM AP) allows you do develop COM based applications that
interact with the processes and activities in the server.
- If you have a previous version of COM AP installed, it must be uninstalled before
installing the new version. To uninstall previous version, use the control panels Add/Remove
Programs applet in the Control Panel.
- Run IFS COM Access Provider.Msi located in the <fndext_home>\<version>\access_providers\com
folder.
- [Optional] You may want to set the default connection string used by the COM AP. That
is set in the environment variable IFS_AP_CONNECTIONSTRING.
Applications using the COM AP can always override this setting.
The COM Access Provider requires Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or Windows
XP with Service Pack 1.
