Install IFS COM Access Provider

The COM Access Provider (COM AP) allows you do develop COM based applications that interact with the processes and activities in the server.

1. If you have a previous version of COM AP installed, it must be uninstalled before installing the new version. To uninstall previous version, use the control panels Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel.
2. Run IFS COM Access Provider.Msi located in the <fndext_home>\<version>\access_providers\com folder.
3. [Optional] You may want to set the default connection string used by the COM AP. That is set in the environment variable IFS_AP_CONNECTIONSTRING. Applications using the COM AP can always override this setting.

The COM Access Provider requires Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or Windows XP with Service Pack 1.
