IFS Installation Guide

The IFS Installation Guide describes how to install IFS Applications. The guide is divided into several different sections dealing with different scenarios and aspects of an installation. The target audience would be technicians doing IFS Applications installations, administrators adding optional components and/or performing post-install setup and configuration.

Things like setting up replication, archiving, message routing, reports, printers, report formatters, print agents and so on are typically not described in in the installation guide - you will find this type of documentation in the Administration and Configuration guides.

To make it easier to follow the instructions in this guide the different parts of the installation process are all described in a similar manner. This includes conventions regarding documentation structure, formatting, file references and icons. An installation sequence is typically described in teh following manner
